Over three decades in operation, Little Traverse Conservancy protected thousands of critical farmland, shoreline and wildlife habitat. My images are either used to celebrate a project's success or to help raise vital funds for its completion. In either case, the marching orders are the same. To capture the essence and beauty of a place and those unique values that make a property worth protecting, whether its scenic, agricultural, historical, recreational, riparian, or habitat. Equal parts challenging and rewarding, these annual excursions have been something of a homecoming, providing a wonderful excuse to reconnect with the landscape of my youth.
